Cab Enclosure Systems Fitment Disclosure
Our cab enclosure systems are an alternative solution to OEM products that intends to provide an economical enclosure solution for your machine. All of our enclosure systems are custom designed to fit each specific model or (series in many cases). As such, we do not make a kit for every possible machine, but we do for most popular makes / models as product demand warrants.
Our enclosure solution is intended to be significantly cheaper in most cases than what may (or may not) be available from your skid steer’s manufacturer (i.e., Bobcat, Caterpillar, New Holland, etc.). Additionally, there are inherent minor manufacturing variations among models of skid steers. For example, it is possible that one could measure slight differences in the dimensions of the ROPS opening where the door will install for a given subset of a specific model, such as a Bobcat 753 F-Series skid steer. As such, the customer is advised that it is possible that there may occasionally be a requirement for some minor customization to the hardware and / or the customer’s machine in order to establish optimal fitment for the components of the kit. In most cases, the kit will fit your machine with no modifications necessary beyond what are prescribed in the installation guide.
Additionally, please be advised that on all 1835, 1840, 1845C skid steer models for Case, the key box will be located on the outside of the door after installation. If you prefer not to have the key box on the outside of the door, you can move the key-box to the inside of the cab using a "L" bracket that you can get at your local hardware store (not provided in the kit). Doing this will likely require drilling and bolting, and possibly other minor custom modifications to the kit and / or your machine. Please do not purchase this kit if you are not okay with locating the key box outside of the enclosure system, or if you are unable or unwilling to perform the necessary installation work to relocate the key box to another place of your liking.
Cab Enclosure System Installation Disclosure
Please be advised that there is a fairly significant amount of work involved in the installation process for certain New Holland skid steer models (such as, but not limited to: L218, L220, L225, L228, and generally any model with tall rectangular headlights). This is necessary purely due to the nature of the design of your specific machine.i
Here is a sampling of some of the things you will need be prepared to do in order to install the kit properly for those types of machines:
- Trimming of the top threshold to fit - we will send you a full upper threshold and you will have cut it to fit with a jig saw.
- If you have the little sight window in the front of the door frame, everything will have to come off including the entire door frame in order to correctly mount our door frame.
- The striker bolt bracket will have to be mounted to the frame on the right hand side of the machine when looking at it (from outside the machine, facing the door).
- The existing side window rivets will have to be drilled out with supplied drill bit and holes tapped with supplied tap.
- The side windows will be sandwiched between frame and window grates once installed.
- There may be additional (minor) custom modifications required in order to ensure a proper fit for your machine.
Please note that our New Holland cab enclosure system will NOT fit on your existing door frame (if your machine has one). Also, please be advised that the installation is more difficult than some of our other kits, but most of our customers understand and accept that this is unavoidable, and that the end result is worth the effort. Please do not purchase this kit if you are unable or unwilling to perform the necessary installation as described above.
