Product Description

Kubota KX080-4 Polycarbonate Windshield Panels

Replace the upper or lower front glass on a Kubota KX080-4 excavator with a clear, abrasion-resistant polycarbonate panel made for the original windshield opening. This listing covers the KX080-4, KX080-4S, and KX080-4S2 and offers each panel in 1/4-, 3/8-, and 1/2-inch thicknesses.

Order the panel by position and OEM number: the curved upper windshield replaces RD829-46030, while the flat lower windshield replaces RD829-49180. The upper and lower panels are separate selections; one does not include the other.

Choose the correct panel first

  • Upper: curved front windshield matching OEM RD829-46030.
  • Lower: flat lower front panel matching OEM RD829-49180.

Check the machine plate, panel location, and OEM number before choosing a thickness. If the excavator has a replacement cab, altered frame, or nonfactory glazing, send photos and the serial number through our contact page before ordering.

Thickness and finish

All six options use clear polycarbonate with SUPERCOAT abrasion-resistant treatment on both sides. The 1/4-inch option is closest to a thin factory glass replacement. The 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch choices add material for machines working around brush, limbs, and flying debris. A thicker panel can require longer bolts than the original glass used, particularly when moving to 1/2 inch.

Polycarbonate should be washed with water, a mild soap, and a soft cloth. Rinse grit away before wiping, and avoid glass cleaners or solvents that are not approved for coated polycarbonate.

What is included

The selected upper or lower windshield panel is included. The frame, seal, hinges, latches, handles, and mounting hardware are not included. Plan to reuse serviceable OEM hardware where the existing arrangement allows it. Replace worn or bent components before final alignment rather than forcing the new panel into a damaged opening.

These panels are made to order. Production time can vary and may run as long as 45 business days before shipment. Browse other Kubota replacement doors and windows when the machine or OEM number differs.

Common questions

Does one order include both windshield panels?

No. Select either Upper or Lower, then choose the required thickness.

Which panel replaces RD829-46030?

RD829-46030 is the curved upper windshield. The lower panel corresponds to RD829-49180.

Is mounting hardware included?

No. This is a replacement glazing panel. Inspect the existing seal and hardware before ordering, and allow for longer bolts if a thicker panel is selected.

Confirm fitment before ordering

A machine model listed on this page does not, by itself, guarantee fitment. Before ordering, use your machine serial number to confirm the required OEM part number through the manufacturer or dealer, the applicable owner's or parts manual, or an authoritative OEM parts catalog. Match that OEM number and the existing door or window configuration to this listing.

If SSC correctly ships the item, SKU, and variant you selected, but the selection is not correct for your machine, the order is not eligible for return, exchange, refund, or credit, and SSC will not cover any costs to correct the selection. If SSC ships a different item than you ordered, we will make it right at our expense.

If you are uncertain, contact SSC before ordering with the machine make, model, serial number, current OEM part number if available, and clear photos. Review our Returns and Refunds Policy.
