Product Description
Haugen Telehandler Concrete Hopper
Place concrete beyond the reach of a ready-mix chute with a fork-mounted Haugen hopper for telehandlers and rough-terrain forklifts. The hopper slips over the fork tines, giving crews a controlled way to carry and discharge concrete at forms, footings, walls, and other hard-to-reach placements.
Choose a 3/4- or 1 1/4-yard hopper with either a manual or hydraulic gate. Four models cover those combinations, so the selected variant must match the job volume, the carrier's rated capacity, and the preferred gate control.
Models and specifications
| Model | Gate operation | Capacity | Attachment weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| HCH-M75 | Manual | 3/4 yard | 570 lb |
| HCH-M125 | Manual | 1 1/4 yard | 680 lb |
| HCH-H75 | Hydraulic | 3/4 yard | 580 lb |
| HCH-H125 | Hydraulic | 1 1/4 yard | 690 lb |
Attachment weight is only one part of the load calculation. Concrete is extremely heavy, and the carrier's allowable load changes with boom extension, lift height, load center, and machine setup. Use the telehandler load chart and the equipment manufacturer's operating instructions for every lift.
Manual or hydraulic gate?
The manual models use a lever to open and close the discharge gate. They are a straightforward choice when the operator or a ground worker can reach the control safely at the placement point.
The hydraulic models include the gate cylinder and fittings. The customer supplies the hoses and couplers, and the telehandler must have one compatible hydraulic circuit. Confirm pressure, flow, hose routing, connection style, and operating reach before selecting a hydraulic model.
Carrier checks before ordering
- Confirm that the telehandler or rough-terrain forklift is approved for the loaded hopper at the planned boom position.
- Measure the fork tines and spacing, then compare them with Haugen's current dimensional drawing.
- Check the worksite route, overhead clearance, ground conditions, and placement height.
- For a hydraulic gate, identify the available auxiliary circuit, couplers, and hose length.
Do not size the hopper from nominal machine capacity alone. The loaded center of gravity sits forward on the forks, and rated capacity can fall sharply as the boom extends.
Use and cleanup
Keep workers clear of the suspended hopper and discharge path. Follow the carrier and attachment manuals, use a spotter where visibility is limited, and never exceed the machine load chart. Test the gate with the hopper empty before loading concrete.
Wash the hopper and gate promptly after use according to site environmental rules. Hardened concrete around the hinge or gate can restrict travel and place extra load on the manual linkage or hydraulic cylinder.
Frequently asked questions
Does the hydraulic model include hoses and couplers?
No. Haugen supplies the cylinder and fittings; the customer supplies hoses and couplers for the carrier.
Can I use this hopper on any telehandler?
No. Fork fit is only the first check. The machine must be rated for the complete loaded hopper at the intended boom extension and height.
What details should I send SSC before ordering?
Send the carrier make, model, fork measurements, required capacity, preferred gate type, hydraulic connection details, and jobsite lift requirements through the SSC contact page.
