Haugen MWP Telehandler Work Platform
Choose a Haugen MWP personnel platform by deck size, fork-pocket requirement, and railing configuration. Four platform sizes are listed, each with a 1,000 lb platform capacity, collapsible sides, steel mesh floor, self-closing doors, fork-retention pins, and marked restraint tie-down points. Personnel lifting is a controlled operation: the platform manual, telehandler manual, worksite rules, and current regulations all apply.

The 1,000 lb figure is the platform limit, not permission to exceed the telehandler's capacity at the planned boom position. People, tools, and materials all count toward the load.
Which fork-pocket option fits?
Standard pockets accept fork tines up to 2.75 x 7.75 in. The large-pocket option accepts tines up to 3.5 x 9.5 in. Measure both tines before selecting. Insert both forks fully, center them on the carriage, and install the retained steel pins behind the heel of each tine as directed by the operator's manual. The right-side transport pockets, where fitted, are for loading and unloading only and must never be used to lift people or material.
When is the high-back option required?
Haugen lists the 60 in. high-back railing for vertical-mast forklifts. Confirm the selected platform configuration with the lift manufacturer, employer safety program, and authority having jurisdiction. Haugen currently states that the platform meets or exceeds ANSI/OSHA B56.6-2021 and CSA B335-04; the user remains responsible for verifying that the machine-platform combination and planned use are permitted.
What operating controls apply?
Read the Haugen platform manual and the telehandler manual before use. Inspect the floor, rails, doors, latches, pins, pockets, labels, and tie-down points before every lift. The certified lift-truck operator must remain at the controls. Do not travel with personnel elevated; set neutral and the parking brake, and disable tilt or swing functions when the manual requires it. Use the marked restraint points and compliant personal fall protection. Check overhead obstructions and power-line clearance before raising the boom.
