Product Description

John Deere 200-300 Series Pro-Series Cab Enclosure

Turn an open John Deere skid steer into a more practical cold-weather cab with a formed 1/2-inch Lexan polycarbonate front door, locking hardware, seals, and the mounting parts needed for an aftermarket retrofit. Choose Door Only for front coverage or Door + Side Windows for the same door with fitted stationary side panels.

This kit is built for machines without a complete, usable factory door system. Existing OEM door framing or incompatible aftermarket parts may need to be removed before installation.

Models covered by this listing

SSC's current configuration covers John Deere 240, 250, 260, 270, 280, 290, and 300 Series 1 and Series 2 machines. Confirm the model plate and series before checkout; a 300 Series designation by itself is not enough to distinguish every cab layout.

Does the machine already have factory hinges, sensors, wiring, or a door frame? Has the ROPS been repaired or modified? Send the serial number and clear cab-opening photos through our contact page when any part of the existing setup is uncertain.

Door Only or Door + Side Windows

  • Formed 1/2-inch Lexan polycarbonate front door.
  • Locking exterior handle and keys, interior pull, hinges, latch, striker, thresholds, perimeter seals, fasteners, and related mounting parts.
  • Stationary polycarbonate side panels with seals and mounting hardware when Door + Side Windows is selected.

The side panels do not slide. A roof panel and rear window are not included with either option. Compare the John Deere enclosure collection if the machine falls outside the models listed above.

Installation planning

This is a complete aftermarket cab-door retrofit, not a replacement panel for intact OEM door hardware. Installation requires locating and drilling the hinge holes and may require additional holes for the thresholds and striker. The specified drill and tap are supplied with the kit.

Dry-fit the door before final tightening, then adjust the hinges and striker so the latch closes without twisting the panel. Check seal contact around the opening and cycle the door slowly before returning the machine to service. Review the Pro-Series installation guide before beginning the work.

Frequently asked questions

Does this enclosure reuse a John Deere factory door frame?

Do not assume so. The kit is intended as an aftermarket retrofit for an open cab, and conflicting factory components may need to be removed.

Do the optional side windows open?

No. Door + Side Windows adds stationary panels that bolt into place.

How do I confirm Series 1 or Series 2 fitment?

Check the machine plate and existing cab arrangement. Contact SSC with the serial number and photos if the series or prior door hardware is unclear.
