Product Description
Seat Warmer Kit for Skid Steers and Equipment
Add heat at the seat without replacing the whole suspension or operator chair. This kit uses separate carbon-fiber pads for the seat bottom and backrest, with high and low settings controlled by a compact illuminated switch.
It is a practical cold-weather addition for many skid steers, compact track loaders, excavators, tractors, UTVs, and similar equipment, but fit still depends on the seat. Each pad measures 9 by 18 inches and is about 1/32 inch thick. Measure the usable bottom and backrest areas and plan the wire path before taking the seat apart.
Heat settings and electrical load
- High setting: approximately 120–125°F.
- Low setting: approximately 110–115°F.
- Two pads at 24–30 watts each, or 48–60 watts per seat.
- Current draw: approximately 4 amps on low and 5 amps on high per seat.
- Warm-up begins within the first two minutes when started on high.
The prewired round switch provides High/Off/Low control and uses two-color illumination. The switch requires a 3/4-inch mounting opening, so choose a reachable location with clearance behind the panel.
What is in the kit
- One 9 x 18-inch carbon-fiber backrest pad.
- One 9 x 18-inch carbon-fiber seat-bottom pad.
- Prewired dual-temperature illuminated switch.
- Power cable with inline fuse.
- Two rows of double-stick tape, quick-lock cable ties, and adhesive insulating tape.
This is a direct-wire kit. It connects to an appropriate power source and ground; it does not come with a USB or cigarette-lighter plug. Confirm machine voltage, available circuit capacity, fuse placement, wire protection, and safe routing with a qualified installer before connection.
Fit and installation planning
Can both pads lie flat inside the usable seat area? Is there room to route wiring away from suspension movement, sharp edges, and pinch points? Can the switch be mounted where it will not be bumped during entry? Answer those questions before installing the adhesive-backed pads.
Do not cut or sharply fold a carbon-fiber heating pad. Keep wiring clear of the seat suspension and operator-restraint hardware. For other cold-weather cab additions, browse skid steer accessories and equipment electrical parts.
Frequently asked questions
Does this plug into a cigarette-lighter socket?
No plug is supplied. SSC's product answer specifies a direct connection to power and ground with an inline fuse.
How large are the heating pads?
Both the bottom and backrest pads measure 9 by 18 inches.
How do I change the temperature?
Use the supplied High/Off/Low switch. High is listed at 120–125°F and low at 110–115°F.

-
does this attach to the usb or cigarette lighter
Hi there - you would connect it to a power source and a ground, but does not come with a cigarette lighter plug (although you could wire one on if that's your preference). It does come with an inline fuse, and there is also a switch to turn the seat on low/high/off.
