Pro-Series Cab Enclosure Installation Guide

Before you begin

Do the fitment and hardware checks first. Most installation problems are easier to prevent before any drilling, tapping, trimming, or final tightening begins.

• Verify the machine make, model, series, and any product-specific selector such as bucket-cylinder layout, door-frame status, or model group.
• Compare the received kit contents with the product page and packing materials before removing existing parts.
• Inspect the ROPS/cab structure for previous door hardware, bent hinge points, aftermarket brackets, damaged thresholds, or seal surfaces that may affect alignment.
• Keep all supplied hinges, latch components, striker hardware, seals, thresholds, fasteners, and accessory parts organized before starting.
• Use standard shop safety practices. Do not operate the machine until the door, latch, seals, and visibility are checked after installation.

Tools and supplies

The exact hardware varies by machine group, but most Pro-Series installs use standard shop tools and careful alignment.

• Basic socket and wrench set
• Drill, drill bits, and tap tool where the machine group requires drilling or threaded holes
• Measuring tape, marker, clamps, and a helper for door positioning
• Non-marring trim tools or gasket tools for seal work
• Shop towels and mild cleaner for gasket and mounting surfaces
• Electrical tools only when installing optional accessories

General installation sequence

Use this sequence as a planning guide. Follow the parts and fitment details for the exact Pro-Series kit ordered.

   Prepare the cab: Park on level ground, lower the attachment, shut the machine down, remove the key, and clean the door opening, hinge area, latch side, threshold, and side-window mounting areas.

   Remove conflicting hardware: Take off prior doors, worn seals, old thresholds, brackets, or aftermarket components that interfere with the selected Pro-Series kit. Do not remove factory frame or hinge components when the selected option is specifically designed to use them.

   Dry-fit the front door: Position the Lexan polycarbonate door in the opening with a helper. Check clearance around the loader arms, ROPS, latch side, threshold, and operator entry path before tightening hardware.

   Install and align the hinges: Mount the hinge hardware using the supplied parts for the machine group. Keep the hardware slightly loose until the door sits evenly in the opening and swings without binding.

   Set the latch and striker: Install the latch, striker plate or striker bolt, interior pull handle, and release components. Adjust until the door closes firmly without excessive force and the latch fully engages.

   Install seals and thresholds: Apply the bulb seal, neoprene gasket, thresholds, and perimeter seal components according to the kit layout. Clean surfaces help the seals seat correctly and reduce wind, dust, water, and snow intrusion.

   Install side windows when selected: Fit the stationary side panels or side windows with the supplied gasket/seal hardware. Check that panels sit flat, do not interfere with lift-arm movement, and can be removed later if the kit design allows seasonal removal.

   Add optional accessories: Install heaters, wipers, lighting, seat warmers, and camera systems according to their product instructions. Route wiring away from pinch points, hot surfaces, moving linkages, and the operator entry/exit path.

   Complete final checks: Open and close the door several times, confirm latch engagement, check visibility, inspect seal contact, tighten hardware, and verify that the machine can be entered, exited, and operated safely.

Product-specific fitment notes

These notes cover the most common configuration decisions across the grouped Pro-Series product line. When in doubt, match the product-page selector to the machine plate and cab layout.

• Bobcat C/F and G-Series: Bucket-cylinder layout matters. Select the one-cylinder or two-cylinder option that matches the loader arm/cab layout.
• Kubota SVL: Choose Include frame when the machine needs the door frame supplied with the kit. Choose Exclude frame only when the compatible frame is already installed.
• Case Alpha and Alpha Max: Choose the standard Alpha option when the machine does not have the factory door frame and male hinges. Choose Alpha Max when the factory frame and hinge setup is present.
• New Holland Alpha and Alpha Max: Use the Alpha listing for machines without the factory frame/hinge setup and Alpha Max for machines with that setup.
• New Holland L-Series vertical-light listing: Use that listing only for the L-Series cab/light layout with vertical lights.
• Takeuchi TL12/TL10/TL8 R2/V2: This coverage does not apply to earlier TL8 machines that are not R2 or V2 models.

Warranty and support

The Lexan polycarbonate front door is covered by SSC's limited lifetime breakage warranty for the original owner during normal, non-abusive operation. If the covered polycarbonate door panel breaks under those conditions, the warranty provides one replacement panel.

Hardware and optional equipment are covered for 3 months. Warranty terms, misuse exclusions, installation damage, wear items, and return conditions apply.
