Coated Polycarbonate Door for Cat C- and D-Series Loaders
Replace the original Cat door glass with a clear, formed polycarbonate panel built for the existing cab door. Choose the machine series and thickness that match your application, then confirm the OEM glass number before ordering.
Choose the correct door
- Cat C Series: replaces OEM glass 258-4071
- Cat D Series: replaces OEM glass 345-6230
- Thickness options: 1/4, 3/8, or 1/2 inch
Some Cat sub-models use a serial-number break. Do not choose by model name alone. Confirm the glass number through a Cat dealer when the number is not visible on the original panel or in the machine parts record.
Listed machine families
The C-Series option is listed for select 246C, 256C, 262C/C2, 272C, 277C/C2, 279C/C2, 287C/C2, 289C/C2, 297C, 299C, and related configurations that use 258-4071.
The D-Series option is listed for select 226D through 299D loaders, including D2 and D3 updates and certain XHP, XE, and R configurations that use 345-6230. The OEM number remains the controlling fitment check.

Will this fit every Cat C- or D-Series loader?
No. Serial breaks and cab configurations can change the door. The matching OEM number is the safest way to select this panel.
Does it include a complete door frame?
No. This is a replacement panel for a machine that already has the applicable OEM door and reusable hardware.
Which thickness should I choose?
Choose the thickness required for your work and existing hardware. A thicker panel can require different fasteners; it does not change the fitment requirement.
