Caterpillar D3 Pro-Series Cab Enclosure
Add a hard front barrier and optional side coverage to an open Cat D3 loader with SSC's Pro-Series retrofit. The front door is formed from 1/2-inch Lexan polycarbonate and ships with the locking, latching, sealing, and mounting parts needed for a cab that does not have a complete factory door system.
Select Door Only for the front assembly, or Door + Side Windows for the front door plus matching stationary side panels. The current purchase options do not separate machines by model, so the exact D3 fitment list below is the ordering boundary.

What the kit includes
- Formed 1/2-inch Lexan polycarbonate front door.
- Locking exterior handle and keys, interior pull, hinges, latch, striker, thresholds, perimeter seals, fasteners, and related hardware.
- Stationary polycarbonate side panels, seals, and mounting hardware with Door + Side Windows.
A roof panel and rear window are not part of the standard configurations. The side panels do not slide. Browse the Caterpillar enclosure collection when the machine is A- or B-Series instead.
Retrofit installation
This is an aftermarket cab kit, not a replacement panel for intact OEM door hardware. Installation requires new hinge holes and additional holes for the thresholds and striker plates; the specified drill/tap is supplied. Most straightforward installations take about one to two hours with basic hand tools once conflicting parts are removed and the cab opening is clean.
Position the panel, align the hinges, and adjust the striker before final tightening. Read the Pro-Series installation guide for the general setup and final latch/seal checks.
Frequently asked questions
Does this page cover Cat D2 machines?
Not as currently configured. The live Admin fitment list is limited to the named D3 models.
Will the side windows slide?
No. Door + Side Windows adds stationary polycarbonate panels.
Can I reuse an OEM door frame?
Do not assume so. This retrofit is for an open cab; send photos before ordering when factory hinges, sensors, wiring, or framing remains.
